Supervising Producer

This project was developed as a large-scale editorial collaboration between VICE and Vogue—conceived as a standalone, co-branded digital platform supported by sponsors and designed to publish 100 days of original content.

The concept centered on a living editorial system: each week introduced a new theme, anchored by a long-form documentary and supported by short-form video, written pieces, and photography. An interactive site was built to house the full program, allowing the work to unfold episodically while maintaining a cohesive narrative arc.

I served as Supervising Producer across the initiative, overseeing development and production for the entire slate—approximately forty pieces of content in total. While the full platform ultimately did not launch following external events that led sponsors to withdraw and the partnership to dissolve, several of the flagship films were released independently.

The Challenge

(02)

strategic Approach

(03)

This collaboration was an early example of what branded editorial could become at scale: long-form, culturally fluent, and systemically designed rather than campaign-driven.

The work explored power, visibility, authorship, and desire through fashion and culture—using documentary storytelling not as promotion, but as inquiry. It required coordination across editorial, legal, brand, and production teams, as well as a publishing framework capable of sustaining volume, depth, and consistency over time.

Though the full platform never launched, the project reflects a way of thinking about content that has since become more common: integrated, thematic, and built to live beyond a single moment.

Execution

Scope of Work

I served as Supervising Producer across the full initiative, overseeing concept development, production, and execution for a multi-format editorial program. My role included:

  • Collaborating with the creative team to shape the overarching editorial and creative concept
  • Designing and building a custom digital platform to support episodic, long-form and short-form storytelling
  • Structuring weekly thematic arcs and content flow across video, editorial, and photography
  • Managing production across a large, multi-disciplinary team
  • Coordinating timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders across editorial, brand, and production partners

While the full platform did not launch, several flagship films were released independently across Vogue and VICE.

Released Films
  • Bella Thorne: A documentary examining authorship, agency, and the tension between self-expression and public consumption—situated within celebrity, sexuality, and image-making.
  • Model Citizens: A film exploring identity, migration, and representation through the experiences of Sudanese models navigating global fashion systems—foregrounding visibility and power within the industry.
  • Sex Object: A documentary featuring Caroline Vreeland, exploring the construction of the “sex object” through sex dolls, beauty, and the line between self-expression and commodification.

This project reflects the kind of systems-level thinking that informs my advisory work: shaping structure and direction before execution.

This page documents a project that was developed, produced, and partially released, but never launched in its intended full form. The work presented here represents a subset of a much larger body of material created for the initiative. While the platform itself did not go live, the scope, ambition, and execution of the project remain representative of the editorial vision and production leadership behind it.
